1. Dubai Mall
Dubai mall located in the down town development area of Dubai occupies around 5.9 million square feet over a total land area of 12 million square feet. The mall opened for public access in 2008 has over 1200 shops, 22 cinema theatres, a luxury hotel with 250 rooms and around 200 small eateries and hotels. The three level car parking of the mall offer parking space to park 14000 cars. The souk within the mall displays unique jewelry, accessories, best of handicrafts and conventional Arab wear. Spent time in the tree-lined walkways, restaurants and cafe and buy the best Denim brands. Bloomingdale and Galeries Lafayette are the two top department stores opened at the venue. The exclusive 440000 sq.ft fashion space opens up latest fashion accessories from all over the world. The Dubai Aquarium & Underwater Zoo located within the mall has thousands of marine specious offers the visitors the best view when they walk through a 270-degree tunnel. The other features of the mall include the Olympic-sized Dubai Ice Rink, an indoor theme park measuring 76000 sq.ft, and KidZania an edutainment zone exclusively for the kids. 2. Mall of the Emirates
The Mall of the Emirates built with a shopping cum resort concept is located on Sheikh Zayed Road. The stores located at the mall offer home furnishing, electronic, sports, and lifestyle and fashion goods. The largest Carrefour supermarket in Dubai is located within the mall. 3. Ibn Battuta Mall
The Ibn Battuta Mall located over the Sheikh Zayed Road in Dubai is the largest themed shopping mall. The mall distinctly designed to commemorate the various travels of Ibn Battuta, the famous Arabic traveler. The mall divided into six separate sections such as Egypt, India, China, Andalusia, Persia and Tunisia each showcasing the places visited by the traveler. The Persia court with its famous hand painted dome presents a stunning look. The Indian court is presented with a 8m tall elephant and the Chinese court is represented by a full-sized Chinese Junk. 4. Deira City Center Mall
The mall opened way back in 1995 was the first mall to change the perception about the malls. The mall was the first to introduce a different shopping experience by providing retail shop outlets, entertainment and restaurants at a single location. The idea of shopping and entertainment at a single location immediately caught the attention of the locals and the tourists. The mall occupies a build up area of around 1300,000 square feet and serves the visitors with its 340 stores which include a food court, multiplex cinema, bowling city and a superstore. The mall a favorite destination for the tourists receives over 20 million visitors every year.
5. Mirdif City Center
The mall opened in 2010 is located in Emirates Road, Dubai. The mall occupies over 196000 square meter of built area and houses over 465 stores of different market mix. The stores located here offers electronics, home, fashion products and entertainment and leisure services. Some of the known store names located here include Fitness First, Decathlon, Hamleys, Home Centre, Crate & Barrel, Centrepoint, Emax, Debenhams, Playnation and Carrefour. VOX Cinemas offer 10 screen cinema within the complex. The iFly Dubai provides indoor sky diving experience and other entertainment facilities include indoor water park, Aquaplay, soccer circus and a 12 lane bowling alley. The Gold Leed certified mall has the facility park 7000 cars.
6. Wafi City Mall
The construction of the mall is inspired Pharaohs of Egypt and other Turkish style. The mall houses more than 350 shops, over 30 restaurants, a complete leisure, and entertainment services within the mall. The Souk Khan Murjan locates 150 stores offering goods from all over the Arabia. The entertainment facility at the mall includes a 18 hole mini golf course providing fun for all age groups. The Kids connection at the mall offers indoor swings, slides, see-saws, trampolines and springs, and other facilities such as climbing tower, bouncy castle, traversing wall and a softball court.
7. Al Ghurair City Mall
Previously known as Al Ghurair Centre the Al Ghurair City Mall is the oldest and first mall in the Dubai city. The mall reconstructed with additions in 2013 offers around 850,000square feet of retail space and houses more than 350 stores. The mall provides both outdoor and a multistory car parking facilities to park 2000 cars. The mall houses fashion outlets such as Bossini, Guess and French Connection, a number of departmental stores, electronic shops, furniture outlets and restaurants. The children’s play area features several entertainments for them. The Grand Cinema located in the premises offers 8 screens. The mall also houses an office complex and service apartments.
