The Beautiful Miracle Garden Of Dubai
The Miracle Garden of Dubai is a highly visited tourist spot bursting with vibrant displays. Located in the center of Dubailand district of Dubai, this wonderful garden was launched on Valentine’s Day in 2013. This garden extends over an area of over 72000 m sq. It is the largest flower garden in the world and houses more than 105 million flowers. In the year 2015, this beautiful garden was awarded the prestigious Moselle Award for New Garden Experiences of the year by the Garden Tourism Awards. Every week, more than 55000 visitors visit these majestic gardens and enjoy the scenic beauty.
The inception of this miracle garden was formed under an agreement between the Dubai Properties Group and Dubailand. Project development was assisted by the company of Akar Landscaping and Agriculture. This project was led by business magnate Abder Naser Rahhal. The entire project cost an average of 40 million AED.
The first phase of this wonderful project was completed at the beginning of the year 2013. A total of 21000 sq. feet of area was worked upon and horizontal and vertical landscape designs were carved out. It took approximately 400 workers and 2 months to complete the first phase of this project. The work on the second phase began in June 2013. It took approximately four months to complete phase 2. 850000 sq. feet of area was devoted to multi-level car parking. Phase 2 development even added retail stores, butterfly garden, and mosque to this awe-inspiring project. The total size of the garden has now been increased to more than million square feet.
The operations of the Dubai Miracle Garden are confined only from October to April. The garden remains closed from the month of June to September. This is because the excruciatingly high temperatures (of more than 40 degrees) make flower gazing a difficult job. The flowers are usually maintained by some highly advanced irrigation techniques. Wastewater is re-used through the drip irrigation technique. Approximately 757000 liters of water is spent daily on watering the plants.
