The first UAE Pavilion was designed
in the year

by Sir Norman Foster and his partners. The building was designed
for the Shanghai Expo of 2010. The architecture of that pavilion is stunning. It is shaped
somewhat like two parallel sand dunes. These sand
dune-like structures are extremely
smooth and curvaceous on their windward side whereas eroded and steep on the other side. The UAE Pavilion is an extremely
striking building for sight-seeing purposes. In the month of
November, the UAE Pavilion holds the contemporary art fair. This is a must-visit event
if you have a deep-seated love for arts.
