The pavilion at Astana has been recently launched. It showcases the rich cultural heritage of Abu Dhabi. The efficient sustainability advances also make an important part of this pavilion.

The first UAE Pavilion was designed in the year 2010. Its winning design has been made by Sir Norman Foster and his partners. The building was designed for the Shanghai Expo of 2010. The architecture of that pavilion is stunning. It is shaped somewhat like two parallel sand dunes. These sand dune-like structures are extremely smooth and curvaceous on their windward side whereas eroded and steep on the other side. The UAE Pavilion is an extremely striking building for sight-seeing purposes. In the month of November, the UAE Pavilion holds the contemporary art fair. This is a must-visit event if you have a deep-seated love for arts.

The basic framework of the Astana Pavilion is focused on energy conservation which will promote “Future Energy”. The design was basically inspired by the dunes of the majestic Liwa Desert. This desert is situated in the empty quarters of Abu Dhabi. The interiors are a perfect place and have been designed in an awe-inspiring and aesthetic manner. The walls are illuminated with the help of multiple projections in the form of videos. These videos mainly display the future of the energy sector of UAE.

The visitors to the pavilion will be able to easily explore the past, the present and the future of the sustainability sector of the country. There is a creative 270-degree film that shall serve this purpose. This wrap around film is one of the main highlights of the newly launched pavilion. A number of other works shall be on the display. One such showcase will be the large-scale projects in the United Arab Emirates, which shall include Masdar investments in the efficient and clean energy projects throughout the Middle East and Mohammad bin Rashid Solar Energy Park.
